Dagnall Hut Update

After being shut for a majority of this season due to COVID restrictions, it was great to get an update from the Dagnall shop today:

“We have almost completed our alterations and refit, we have had some delays with the card machine. We have made Dagnall Gardeners’ Society shop Covid 19 safe for the members and the volunteers.
Keeping social distancing is going to change the way the hut works. Next week we are testing out our new procedures to make sure that it works as we have planned.
Then we are planning to have 2-3 compost days when we will sell compost only the shop will not be open. This we hope, when the shop does reopen it will allow members to shop quicker.
If everything goes ok we plan to reopen in 2 weeks’ time.
I will inform you of the dates as soon as it has been sorted

Look out for other news letters in the next couple of weeks there is a lot to say. The first one will the 2021 potato order form

Pitstone Allotments Food bank Donations

Our first collection and donation to the Pitstone & Ivinghoe food bank took place on Thursday, and it was a great success, with lots of lovely fresh grown produce collected from Pitstone Allotments. Thank you all those plot holders that generously donated your fruit and veg; and a big thank you to John and Julie for picking up and delivering it to the food bank; and Karen Groom for distribution.

Don’t forget the donation wheel barrow will be by the wildlife area bench each Thursday evening for your donations.
